1.5 - Moving Towns

Theo makes a royal decree that all sisters shall now live in igloos. He's lucky that Laura was still outside building, or she would have pushed him off the chair. Isobel however did hear him.
"No, Theo, we want everyone to live inside, where it's nice and warm," Isobel said, speaking through her laughs at her son's antics.

Laura finished her igloo, and invited Theo inside. The two tried to convince their parents to allow them to sleep outside that night. Safe to say that it was not allowed.

Isobel took her time making up sandwiches for her family. It was difficult finding something everyone wanted to eat, thankfully, PB and J sandwiches worked.

After spending all morning in a call with his bosses, Brendan came out to the kitchen while the kids were outside.
"Izzy, I know that we haven't lived in this house for too long, but I just got offered an amazing job."
Isobel looked at him suspiciously. "And where is this job located?"
"Cape Garner. They're willing to give us a house to stay in until we can afford our own. It would be a great asset to add to my resume."
Without much fuss, Isobel agreed. It wasn't like her job required her to stay there. She could get a job practically anywhere. And the twins hadn't made any friends at school, it it wouldn't be a fight from them either.

With a new rented car, Isobel, the only one who knew how to drive, drove them out of town to the harbour, where they would board a boat to take them to their new home.

This was the house they were going to be staying in. It was literally right next door to City Hall, where Isobel's new job was located, and right across the street from Brendan's promotion.

Their first night there, someone tried to rob them.

Isobel noticed the lack of many police officers here, so she started to get ready to hopefully land a promotion soon. Here, she didn't have as much competition.

NOTE: Apparently my computer just hates me. The town was working great for me, barely any lag, and I shut my computer down for the night, opened it the next day, and boom. I could barely get through one sim day without the entire thing lagging terribly.

So I actually did up the rooms for the twins. Top two pictures are of Theo's room, and the bottom ones are Laura's.

1.4 - As the Leaves Turn

Introducing, the twin terrors, Laura and Theo as children. Oh, the trouble they can get into now!

Both are terrified when they get on the bus for school. The bus driver doesn't look anywhere as they drive down the busy streets. Somehow though, they make it safely to the school.

Theo decides that he hates school. He hates homework.
Laura loves school. And she loves homework. It's a chance to show that she's smarter then the average sim.

Laura's collection of stuffed animals. She makes sure to teach them everything she's learned in school. They also learn about everything that Theo does that annoys Laura. Such as just dropping his coat on the floor where Laura always trips over it.

The school wishes for Theo to make friends with a child that has none. He agrees and goes to Gils house after school. Gil immediately disappeared to go somewhere else leaving Theo alone in his house. Theo took one look at all the dirty laundry and flies and promptly decided that he can't be friends with someone who can willingly live like this.

Despite working on her cooking skill, Isobel's favourite thing to make is still autumn salad.
"It's autumn, so it works. Autumn salad. Autumn. See?"
Laura just wishes for something warmer to eat... and not so bland.

Due to their ability to team up and cause mischief when together, the school starts separating Laura and Theo on the bus. In this case, on their way to the science building for a field trip.
Theo is more disappointed in the fact that he's not at the front of the bus anymore.

The teacher has last minute warnings for both Laura and Theo before entering. Their other classmates are hoping for a nice fun filled day with no pranks. They get enough of that at school.

Three pages on how science helps our daily lives. Theo hates science. Laura, tired of his complaining, lets him copy her homework. They'll get caught, Theo doesn't think to slightly change the answer, and they both end up with additional homework the next day.
"That's the last time I help you out," Laura hissed at Theo.
"I blame you," Theo whispered back.

Music was about the only thing that Theo did like. So much that Isobel and Brendan got him a guitar as his birthday present. He'd hide in the attic for ages playing.

Laura liked to play pretend. She pretended she was a teacher with her stuffed animals. She pretended with her dollhouse that she was all grown up. She didn't want to get married though. That meant she'd have to kiss a boy. Ew.

Mistletoe! And Brendan won't admit to hanging it there just to get Isobel to kiss him. It didnt' take that much to convince her. He didn't even need to use the mistletoe. Isobel would  kiss him anyway. She had a wish to anyway.

Isobel finally got around to putting up the pictures they got taken at the festival.

Theo got a wish to get some attention from his dad. Since Brendan spends most of his time either in front of a computer or a mirror, his relationships with his children are suffering.

Wanting to light a fire, Brendan doesn't trust the fireplace won't catch on fire, so he upgrades it to fireproof. Because, you know, hitting a fireplace with a hammer makes it fireproof. :|

"I'm gonna build an igloo and live in it forever!"

NOTE:
I'm far ahead of where I am in game, though I have another two and a half chapters worth of pictures.

1.3 - Chilling in Autumn

Autumn arrives, and with it, Isobel's new decorations. She wished it wouldn't rain on her new things, but unfortunately they don't live in a sector that has no weather. That was a downside to choosing where they currently lived.

Inside, Isobel patiently tried to teach Theo to talk while Laura looked at the pictures in a book. Theo was stubborn though and wanted to steal the book from Laura. Isobel eventually gave up and gave him a book of his own to look at.

When the rain finally went away, Isobel took the twins outside to play. Theo bugged Isobel for ages to play on the rocker.
"Okay, Theo, time to get off so your sister can have a turn."
A pout appeared on Theo's face. "No." His favourite word.
  "Theodore."
Reluctantly, Theo allowed himself to be picked up off his favourite outside toy.

Laura was much easier to convince. She wasn't a huge fan of the outdoor toy, she much prefered playing with her stuffed animal in the dirt.
  "Mama, up."

"So. How would you feel about buying a fixer-upper?" Brendan asked when he got home.
Isobel looked at him suspiciously. "Why?"
"A co-worker is willing to sell his old place to us for real cheap."
With a shrug, Isobel agreed. Though inside she was cheering. Just what she wanted. A place to completely redo and make her own.

It looked terrible at first glance. Though the green colour did grow on Isobel. The brick though, had to go.

Their first family breakfast in their new home. Brendan finished his quickly, and had to keep Laura from throwing hers on the floor.
  He did not succeed.

When going to a doctor's appointment, Isobel ran into their old neighbour, Iantha. She earned a high five because new baby.
"You'll have to come visit with the new baby. Fay can come too, I'd love to see you all."
"We'll definitely come up with a date."

"We can't have anymore children," Isobel told Brendan when she got home.
"Then we be happy with what we have. At least we have the twins, right?"
Isobel had a feeling she should have listened to that clerk. She didn't know how deep this would end up going. She suddenly had panic for her children.

"Fay didn't want to come. She's not a fan of Celeste," Iantha apologized.
Isobel waved it off. "Celeste is so cute."
It pained her a little to see Celeste and know she couldn't have another one, but she was happy for her friend.

They spent a day at the festival. It took nearly half the day to get the twins there. Isobel mostly just wanted pictures.

They did go in the haunted house though. One at a time so the twins still had someone watching them.

Brendan wasn't impressed. Isobel was turned into a ghost though. She hated haunted houses. Brendan laughed.

That night, someone tried to rob them. Isobel was glad she remembered to install an alarm.

The day after spooky day, the twins aged up!
 Laura went first.

  Then Theodore.

NOTE:
Soon the story stuff really starts happening! I've also decided already who is going to be heir. Simply because their roll is perfect for the story I want to tell.

1.2 - Double Take

Meet the newest members of the Clark family! (If you already looked at the family tree, then you spoiled yourself!) This is Laura.

And her younger, by two minutes, brother Theodore, Theo for short.

Isobel was happy to be home. And skinny. She took time to tuck in her babies their first night home. Already she loved them with her entire heart. She snuggled with both twins before putting them down for the night.

And of course, Brendan got in his cuddles as well. Not trusting himself to stand and walk around with the babies, he loved to rock with them in the rocking chair instead. At least there he couldn't drop them.

When both Isobel and Brendan were busy, they had little playmats for the twins. It kept them occupied and they seemed to like them, since neither cried when placed in them.

Brendan tried really hard to not let what was between him and Isobel suffer just because they had children now. He took every chance he could to remind Isobel that he loved her.

It didn't take long until it was the twins birthday! Laura went first.

  Then Theo.

And moments later, two toddlers were ready for their first taste of cake! Though most of it ended up on the floor.

Isobel was happy to get out of the house with the twins. She made frequent trips to the closest park, where both kids could wear themselves out before going home for a much needed nap. Isobel usually used their nap time to catch up on housework that she couldn't do with them underfoot.

This was the twins favourite play equipment. Laura tended to shove her brother down the slide so she could have the telescope all to herself. Of course, Theo mostly thought it was a game and would climb back up and have it happen all over again.

Teaching the twins how to walk turned out to be much harder then Isobel and Brendan thought. They spent several evenings out 'enjoying' the summer weather, and listening to babbling from two stubborn children.
Of course, the thought that it would probably get worse made Isobel cling to the hope that her children would not be the same as her.

NOTE: Sorry, not much of a story really going on yet. While toddlers are my favourite life stage (a reason I have yet to start playing Sims 4) I really don't know how to write them very well. Maybe it's cause it goes by so quickly. I don't know. Either way. They turned out pretty damn cute.
